Searching for Writers

Posted: July 30th, 2009 | Author: Moonstar Silverwolf | Filed under: blogging | Tags: , , , , , , , , | View Comments

99164 This blog post is meant to help out a friend and to help out my readers in finding her. One of my favorite blogs and friends from online, Mona, who is the blogger behind a very good blog of her own – Rebellious Arab Girl is looking for some help in developing a new website.

Are you interested in making a little bit of money?

Do you have good writing skills?

Are you someone who knows a lot about social networking, tips on how to effectively use their various tools, why you should join this or that website? Tips and tricks, pros and cons, how to avoid getting fired or not hired for a job due to it? How do you use social networking to advance a business? And many more possibilities…

It will take dedication and your time, but you will be teaming up with someone who has the skills to make it happen and in the end you will get a little bit of money in exchange for your time.

For more information or if you are interested, please surf on over to her website. Here is the blog entry asking for some writers. – http://www.rebelliousarabgirl.net/2009/07/29/searching-for-permenant-writers/

Or email her directly at rebelliousarabgirl at gmail.com

I have already volunteered my own blog to help advertise this new website when it gets launched. So, if you are one of the ones chosen for this new venture, I might be contacting you for a little information about you so that I can write up something nice for you all.

Good luck & I look forward to learning all of your tricks :-)

Blogging for a Cause

This blog will be very short, but it has a distinct purpose. A website (Zementa.com) is doing a promotion called “Blogging For A Cause”, they have partnered with Weber Shandwick to generate a cash donation to be given to a non-profit organization that generates the most blog posts in support of their cause and organization. Someone I met on twitter @jilliancyork works with Global Voices Advocacy Online and I wanted to help promote their cause and possibly help them gain enough support for the cash donation to help further their cause.

Global Voices Advocacy - Defending free speech online

Global Voices Advocacy (http://advocacy.globalvoicesonline.org) is the advocacy group of Global Voices Online and their main cause is to create a network to address & make aware the many problems of online censorship & freedom of speech. They work with members to provide information on anonymous blogging, anti-censorship campaigns & other online resources to combat the growing problem of online censorship.

I fully support what they do and hope they continue to have success in bringing to light how much censorship is out there and how badly it can get really quick. I also support their resources on how to guides and assistance for anonymous blogging so that freedom of speech is not suppressed in the online world like it might be in the real world. There are many countries and groups that will squash freedom of speech whenever they can, it is our job to help those who need to speak out and provide them the opportunity to do so without fear.

If you haven’t been to the main blogging site of Global Voices, I encourage you to do so, they post blogs & news related to online freedom of speech from around the globe and I know they are always looking for fresh voices to contribute – especially outside of the United States.
