A few days back, a friend of mine shared a video with me as we were chatting on yahoo messenger. She’s been reading up on some stuff that deals with the New World Order, which in a way relates very heavily with American Imperialism which has lead us to occupy the lands of two nations and have troops on lands of many more.
The whole idea that we are “freeing” these people in order to rid them of their past governments to set up a democracy, one like us, or at least similar to us. Our arrogance in the world is disgusting. We torture, rape, murder and occupy the lands of others, call them terrorists and even try to preach a new religion to them. We hold our currency up to the world, demanding everyone honor it’s power. We are dependent on foreign oil which makes us kiss Saudi Arabia ass despite their human rights abuses and lack of democracy. Our hypocrisy with nuclear technology is outrageous. And, we don’t know the difference between an Arab and a Muslim and that they are not terrorists.
Bow down before… why not get a life and learn how to live within the world, not control it…
This is the story that time forgot.
And though some names have been changed,
Some names, some names have not.
Tune in every night at six o’clock
You can open up a magic box and see me there.
Ready or not, here I come, I’m free.
I got so many names,
Let Lucifer Longtail suffice,
So many faces, so many devices in the
Sweet smile of the talk-show host
To the suicide celebrity ghost.
That’s me, yeah,
The ace in the hole of America’s soul.
Adore, adore
Bow down before.
Bow down before.
Adore, adore.
A star is born, you start to fall
Down on your knees
And adore me.
And we already the news is born and sold
By the man with the plan and the corporate gold.
And we already know that the story can change
At the roll of a dice, reality rearranges.
That’s me, yeah
I’m everywhere you did not think I could be so,
Adore, adore.
Bow down before.
Bow down before.
Adore, adore.
A star is born, you start to fall
Down on your knees
And adore me.
And I’ll be there in the secrets that you dream in.
And I’ll be there when you wake up in the morning.
And I’ll be there when you get home in evening.
‘Til the days of your life is done.
This is the song that the caged bird sings,
Curled up like a cat at the corner of everything.
Don’t feel bad even if you could,
‘Cuz if you did not do it,
Someone else just would.
It’s…easy.
Believe. Me.
I’ll show you such wonderful things.
I’ll show you such wonderful things ‘til you’re just like me.
Adore, adore.
Bow down before.
Bow down before.
Adore, adore.
A star is born, you start to fall
Down on your knees
And adore me.
Adore, adore.
Bow down before.
Bow down before.
Adore, adore.
A star is born, you start to fall
Down on your knees
And adore me.
Your utter stupidity
Blatant disregard for realty
Disinformation filled mind
Is the real terrorism
For men will die for your freedom
and some will return
only to be bound by the same oppression
America’s apathetic ignorance
is truly what is tearing this nation apart
Seam by seam
Stitch by stitch
The Flag, weathered by years of fools
Burning it would have been faster
America, your leaders are destroying any opportunity for peace in the middle east. Peace between Palestinians & Israel & with Iran. Your leaders are continuing to occupy two nations while pumping millions into nations we are not occupying. You, have continued to be silent while your leaders spend your money, your blood, your name to increase the bloodshed in our name.
I hope the blood of tyranny flows down your throats and quenches your thirst because that is all that you are drinking.
You are at fault for what is continuing to happen. You are so worried about whether there might be “Death Panels” in a nearly 2000 page health care bill that you remain silent as we spend billions in the middle east. Billions to allow Israel to commit war crimes. Billions to allow our soldiers to rape & murder people they claim are terrorists but they themselves are the terrorists. Billions as we watch a country fall into the control of the Taliban who we have been fighting for 8 years, billions.
Do you not see how dumb this is?
You – yes you – America, as you live your life worrying about what to get at McDonald’s – you are murdering innocent lives. You all should be thrown into the depths of hell from where you came from.
You sit there behind your computers, changing your twitter icons green to support an Iranian Revolution and then sit silent as the Palestinians just try to keep their homes from being stolen. You sit there as your leaders threaten Iran over their nuclear program when your own nation has weapons they refuse to destroy. Yet, your own country is the only nation in the history of man to have used a nuclear weapon on anyone. You sit there sipping your sweet tea as your leaders continue occupying nations across the world while supporting a nation that is occupying people within their own borders.
Do you enjoy showing you ignorance to the world? Most of you don’t know the difference between Muslims, Arabs & terrorists, you think they are all the same. Most of you don’t know that Iran has not invaded another sovereign nation, yet your own nation has invaded two of Iran’s neighboring nations. Most of you don’t know that Israel’s army over 60 years ago, caused terror within Palestine forcing millions of native Palestinians to flee for their own lives where they still live today in refugee camps unable to return to their homeland but unable to own land since they are refugees. Most of you think you know that terrorism is, yet you don’t see with your own eyes that your own nation is committing acts of terror every day. You know nothing, you are nothing.
You are nothing. You think you are, but you are nothing. When you are willing to stand up and be something in this world, then stand up to your leaders. Until then, I think you are nothing and I will walk down the street and I will not feel sorry for you when you have no food, no water or no health care because you could have told your leaders to stop spending your money to occupy nations in tyranny.
You are nothing. Go wave your flags to show your patriotism and watch as it burns from your own fires from hell.
I finally finished my book. It was a good book, tho I feel like I didn’t read the first few chapters very well, so I may end up going back and skimming through it some to catch what I missed. When I started reading this book earlier in the summer, I really wasn’t focused on it but was just reading it to say I was. But, sometime changed about 2ish weeks ago that made me want to focus my life more.
I credit some of it to a person I will not name & they have already been told. I credit some of it to the last few months of my life and finding what was truly wrong within it. I credit some to my ability to take control of my eating habits. And, I give some credit to a religion that I was more ignorant of than I realized. What this means, I don’t know. I’m still very confused by all of this, but I feel very much at peace for the first time in years. Sure, I will still be emotional, I will still have my off days as we saw a few days ago. But, believe me, something is different. I have no idea what to make of it yet.
I only hope that I am able to allow this new feeling to continue and not allow it to stop dead in it’s tracks when I go back to work on Monday. I feel refreshed, renewed and generally happy.
Getting back to the final chapter, the author discussed how she feels being American makes her a better Muslim and how being Muslim makes her a better American. She compared the two and said that America is perhaps the clearest example of what Islam has meant to be. She discussed how she wonders if the Founding Fathers used Islam more than we know as they developed the founding documents of the country. (I can see the religious right already throwing fits at this idea). But wouldn’t that be interesting?
Well, I found this to be a good book and I think it was a good one for me to start with so I didn’t get discouraged about learning and exploring. I don’t think I’ve told on here what book this has been, but I do encourage anyone out there who has been interested in what I’ve been typing about it to check it out. It’s called: “Red, White and Muslim: My story of Belief” by Asma Gull Hasan. Her website is: http://www.asmahasan.com.
Well, I’m off to bed now, I just had to blog before I went to sleep now that I was able to finish the book. Peace and Goodnight.
